Suraj Kumar Chaurasiya, M.Optom, FIACLE, is a Senior Optometrist and Contact Lens Specialist at Oracle Eye Hospital. Originally from Nepal, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Optometry and Vision Science (2017) and subsequently earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Optometry and Vision Science, specializing in Contact Lens and Anterior Segment, from LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. He also holds a Master of Optometry (M.Optom) degree, further strengthening his academic and clinical expertise in eye care.

He specializes in specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, PROSE devices, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, orthokeratology, and myopia management. His clinical expertise includes the visual rehabilitation of patients with keratoconus, irregular corneas, post-refractive surgery complications, and ocular surface diseases through advanced contact lens technologies.

Prior to joining Oracle Eye Hospital, he served as the Head of the Contact Lens Department and Assistant Professor at C.L. Gupta Eye Institute, where he was actively involved in patient care, teaching, research, and professional training. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (FIACLE) and has authored multiple publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include specialty contact lenses, keratoconus, dry eye disease, myopia control, ocular surface disorders, and anterior segment imaging.
